Merry Christmas Everyone!
Hi everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas like we did! We had everyone over our house for Christmas Eve. It was nice to have everyone at our house. The Bronco game was a big hit on our big screen HDTV, and YEA they won! A few of us left for the Christmas Eve Church Service in the middle of the game, but when you are the choir director the church looks down on you if you skip the Christmas Eve service to watch the Bronco game! ;-)
Christmas morning, Ben and I were just waking up when all of a sudden we hear one of the games in the basement kinda make a noise. Ben says, "What was that?" And I respond, "Oh, you probably just left one of the games on last night." He replied, "Let's go see." So, we both get up, and sitting there was my Christmas present - a Star Wars Episode 1 Pinball Game!! WOW!! Talk about going overboard with my present! The sneaky man (with the help of my father) had rigged up a remote control start up so Ben turned the game on while we were in bed! It is a lot of fun. The game is kinda a mix of a regular pinball machine and a video game. Very cool! If anyone makes it to our house, ask us to play it; it is a lot of fun! After we got dressed, we headed to my parent's for breakfast. We opened presents and had a delicious breakfast. The baby got some gifts from his Grandma and Grandpa; a Bronco outfit and a cookie monster cell phone! This kid is already spoiled and not even out of my womb yet! hehehe Anyway, I got Benjamin a Wii (the new Nintendo game console) with the much needed help of Mom, Dad, and John (Thanks for standing in line in the cold for an hour to get it for me!!!), so we came home after breakfast and played. That is a blast too! At 2pm we headed for Grandma and Grandpa's house and met up with the rest of the family. We really enjoyed ourselves and the meal was delicious! This year's goofy gift for our little gift exchange was to bring a bank. Everyone found some really cute banks, and I got a little blue lamb with will go great in the baby's room! We left kinda early as my feet were beginning to swell and I needed to put them up. Overall, it was a wonderful Christmas and I feel very blessed to have such wonderful friends and family!
On the baby side of things, everything is going well. I am just starting my 29th week, which means if the baby waits until his due date he will be here in just 11 short weeks (9 if he comes when the Doctor thinks he might - 0n the first of March)!! YIKES, that is getting close! I've been feeling about the same. John got me a Snoogle pillow for Christmas which I hope will help with some the sleeping woes I've been having lately. The baby is still kicking pretty good. He likes to kick my ribs a lot! Can someone say, "OUCH!" I passed my Glucose test (YEA) which means I am not diabetic. That is good news. However, from the bloodtest they did say I was slightly anemic, which explains why I have been pretty tired. I've been trying to up my iron intake, so I guess they will test me again at our next appointment on Jan 10!
