It's snowing today!

I LOVE when it snows.



It has been snowing all day. Just a gentle little snow, and it really puts me in the holiday spirit. Now, the ultimate snow is an official "Snow Day" from school. We haven't had one in like 5 years, so I'm not about to get my hopes up for one this year, but I still LOVE days when it snows!!

So, how are we doing, you ask? Fine. Nothing has really changed. I can't believe how close I am to the third trimester. I think the third trimester starts at week 27 and today we are 25 weeks and 4 days. The baby keeps kicking all the time, almost to the point that I am getting used to it. I think my belly is growing, and people at work keep telling me I'm really starting to look cute. (How can I argue with that? hehehe) I put an ornament on our Christmas tree with an ultrasound picture in it! It is kinda fun to think that next year at this time we will be getting a picture taken of our son with Santa!! An amazing thought!

As for work, teachers still may be striking. We are now working without a contract (which is kinda scary). At our union meeting last Thursday, we found out that we can't legally strike until the department of labor takes jurisdiction over the matter, and good ol' Gov. Owens is stalling the process!!! I guess if we do end up striking it won't be until after Ritter takes over for Owens. However, the union and the district were supposed to be meeting this weekend, so maybe they will come to an agreement and this whole mess can be over!! They want us to take all of our personal property home to show how much of ourselves we put into our classroom. That is nice and dandy, but it is a PAIN to put all that stuff up in the first place, and then to take it down and hopefully put it back up once we settle is just a bit much for a pregnant teacher! My students keep asking me what is going on, and it is so complicated that I find it hard to explain it to them. At least we won't be striking this month!
