11 weeks, and tired, tired, tired!
Baby info
Yep, 11 weeks! Pretty amazing how the time is going. Our next dr's appointment is Wednesday. We should get an ultrasound. I can't wait for that. 5 weeks is a long time to wait between ultrasounds and this time we should see something that actually looks like a baby! So far, physically I am feeling fairly good. It seems like my morning sickness is now "evening sickness". I've made it through work feeling ok, but when I get home I start feeling a little queasy. It is nothing compared to how bad I felt at the beginning, but I am still looking forward to not feeling queasy in the second trimester. I have not gained any weight, but my waist does seem to be thickening a bit. I ordered some maternity clothes on-line (not too many options here in Pueblo) but it will probably be a few weeks before I really need to start wearing them. My biggest complaint is just being utterly exhaused!!!! Exhaused to the point of barely wanting to move! I'm not sure if it is just regular pregnancy, or pregnancy coupled with the first week of school (which I would be exhaused even if I wasn't pg!). I come home from work, plop on the couch, and pretty much stay there until I go to bed! If I had a dollar for every time I yawned, I'd be a rich woman!! I have been working on drinking more water, but so far I have not reached the goal of 10 glasses a day!! I barely can make it to 5! I'm really going to try hard this week to make my drinking water goal!!
Work info
Last week was the first week of school. It went really well, and my kids have been really good as well. Tuesday is Open House which I will have to fight off my tiredness to get there! One day last week I did get pretty close to passing out. I was in the middle of a sentence when I started seeing sparklies all around; kinda like a disco ball. I grabbed a drink of water and sat infront of the fan, and the wierd feeling passed. Of course, it was probably about 90 degrees in my classroom that day. So, I keep having to remind myself to sit on my stool more and keep my fan FULL BLAST!!! hehehe I think I have lined up a great sub while I am gone for the baby. She subbed for me last year while I had my lap surgery. She is a retired teacher and most of the kids have had her as a sub before. I have to admit that I am looking forward to getting some time off of work in March (along with the baby of course)!! I do wish I would be able to be a stay-at-home mom, but there is no way we can afford that. I will have a precious 5 months with our baby before I go back to work next year.
